Even though beekeeping is illegal in New York City, the N.Y. Times reports that there are some New Yorkers who are defying the law.This Times article includes a photo of beekeepers maintaining a hive on the rooftop of their apartment/condo building in one section of Brooklyn. There's even an association for beekeepers in NYC. Pretty daring.
